Straight answers about DetailBook’s car detailing booking software
Your trial gives you full access to Pro for 14 days (30 if you joined through a partner), and you don’t need a card to start. If you haven’t added a card when it ends, nothing is charged: your account pauses and your booking page stops taking new bookings until you choose a plan, and your data stays safe. If you have added a card, you’re charged for the plan you picked unless you cancel first.
Both plans give you the full booking software: unlimited bookings and services, your branded booking page, the calendar, Google Calendar sync, CRM, condition reports and maintenance plans. Pro (£50 a month) adds deposits and card payments, SMS reminders, invoicing, Apple and Outlook calendar sync, verify-first and photo-quote pricing, and unlimited custom questions and add-ons. Essentials (£25 a month) includes 2 of each. Compare every feature.
Yes. Monthly plans have no contract and no cancellation fee. Cancel from your account settings and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for, then you won’t be charged again. Payments aren’t refunded, so on the annual Pro plan cancelling stops it renewing.
Yes. Export your customer list from your current booking system as a CSV file and upload it in your DetailBook account. Our team imports your customers and their vehicles and emails you when it’s done, then deletes the file. Customers are matched by phone number, so anyone without one is listed for you to add by hand; past bookings aren’t imported.
On Pro, customers pay a deposit or the full price when they book through your car detailing booking page, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments go straight into your own Stripe account: DetailBook takes no commission, and Stripe’s standard card fees apply. Set the deposit as a fixed amount or a percentage, with rules for individual services if you need them; the balance is due on the day.
On Pro, customers get a text confirming their booking and a reminder the evening before, or two or three evenings before if you prefer. Texts are sent from your business name and you can edit the wording. Pro includes 100 texts a month (25 during the trial); extra texts cost £5 for 50 or £9 for 100, and unused ones roll over.
DetailBook is car detailing booking software built for UK detailers, not a generic appointment booking system.
